MSS Certificates available at the Annual Meeting
The 2017 MSS Certificate of Teaching and Learning is a certification program organized by the MSS Committee on Teaching and Learning. This program provides a structure for you to focus your conference participation around university issues related to, or that impact, teaching and learning. By completing the certification process you will be able to document, and will be recognized for, your participation in sessions focused on pedagogy, curriculum development, classroom management, course development, and technology.
In order for you to receive the MSS Certificate of Teaching and Learning you need to attend 5 sessions (verified by a signature from the session organizer at the end of each session you attend) and write a brief reflection on your learning (feel free to use the last page of this packet). You can find multiple qualifying sessions in many time slots demonstrating the importance of this theme throughout the conference.
By Sunday noon, before you leave Milwaukee, you must turn in your roster and your feedback to the Committee on Teaching and Learning Chair, Caleb Bush, or Chair-elect, Bridget Diamond-Welch, in person or give it to a person at the registration kiosk. Alternately, you may scan and email a PDF version of your materials to email@example.com no later than April 17th. After affirmative review, the Committee, through the Executive Director’s office, will send you a certificate to include on your vitae or to share with those who supported your conference attendance. Thank you for participating.
