Illinois Wesleyan University will host a national Summit on New Frontiers in the Study of Colorblind Racism on May 12-14, 2016. This workshop-style Summit will bring together scholars, a campus community, and a local public to invigorate new directions for research on contemporary racism, with a number of scholars-only sessions to develop new lines of thinking and research.

The Department of Anthropology and Sociology at West Chester University of Pennsylvania invites applications for a tenure‐track position in Sociology at the Assistant Professor level beginning fall of 2016. The Department seeks a Sociologist with research and
teaching specialization in two of three of the following areas: social change, education, and economic sociology. Preference will be given to candidates that take a critical approach in their

The University of Nebraska at Omaha invites applications for the position of Director of the Office of Latino/Latin American Studies (OLLAS).  Candidates whose research, publications and engagement record qualify them for an additional faculty appointment with tenure in a relevant department will be considered for such appointments, however the primary appointment will be as OLLAS Director. Rank and salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications. The Director will report directly to the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. Targeted start date is summer 2016, but the start date is negotiable. The position will remain open until the desired candidate is found. The Director must possess a a relevant discipline.
