MIDWEST SOCIOLOGICAL SOCIETY
The Department of Sociology and Social Work at Texas Woman’s University seeks to fill a tenure track, assistant professor position to teach courses at the baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral levels and conduct research in criminology/criminal justice beginning September 1, 2016. The successful applicant will have a Ph.D. in Sociology with a concentration in Criminology / Criminal Justice. Review of applications will begin Sept. 15, 2015, and continue until the position is filled.

Three sociology faculty have begun a research project on Introduction to Sociology and Social Problems syllabi. We want to examine the required course content for both classes.
We are asking for individuals to volunteer to send us your syllabus for one or both classes, if you have taught either class in the last three years (2012-2015).

Transdisciplinary Environmental Health/Social Science
This two-year postdoctoral fellow will be part of the new NIEHS Training Program, “Transdisciplinary Training at the Intersection of Environmental Health Science and Social Science” (EH+SS), co-directed by Northeastern University’s Social Science Environmental Health Research Institute and Silent Spring Institute. The position ideally starts September 1, 2015, but it is possible that a person earning their PhD mid-year could have a January 1, 2016, start date. Review of applications will begin immediately, and the search will remain open until the position is closed or filled.
