As a benefit of membership, MSS members receive three publications. Use the links below to view pages for each publication:
is one of the leading generalist journals in sociology. TSQ is a quarterly, edited by Betty A. Dobratz of Iowa State University; and Lisa K. Waldner, of the University of St. Thomas.
includes three mailings: A twice-yearly newsletter sent in October and May; and an annual meeting registration packet sent in January. The newsletter is the primary vehicle for informing MSS members about the annual meetings. Michael Haedicke of Drake University is Executive Editor.
is a brief update delivered electronically to MSS members 8-10 times a year.
E-news notifies members of member elections, board meetings, committee meetings, and deadlines for grant applications and award nominations. E-news also brings important reminders and timelines for those participating in the annual meeting.
MSS members who attend the annual meeting also receive an annual meeting program book.
The program book lists all meeting sessions and papers, along with the names of all the meeting participants. To view program books from past meetings beginning in 2006, click to 'Past Meetings.'
Recently, MSS instituted a new policy regarding the annual meeting program book. Beginning in 2011, the printed program book that is distributed at the meeting will be labelled as a draft program. After the annual meeting, withdrawn papers, cancelled sessions, and other corrections will be made to the draft program, and an amended permanent program will be published online.

Wiley-Blackwell, publisher of MSS's journal, The Sociological Quarterly, has launched a smart-phone app for sociologists. "Sociology Spotlight" is available for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. Among other things, the new app contains abstracts for MSS's own TSQ. It is free and available for download at the iTunes store.
