Please support MSS by staying at the conference hotel.

I can find a room elsewhere a little cheaper. Why should I stay at the conference hotel?

Meeting rooms are provided to us at not cost based on the number of hotel rooms booked for our conference. Please book your room at the conference hotel to help MSS meet room-night commitments and avoid financial penalties. When our room block fills, we will work to have another nearby hotel available for reservations. Ultimately, staying at the conference hotel helps us keep your registration rates affordable.

Why did you choose this hotel?

Our conference hotels are carefully chosen, years in advance, to provide the necessary number of meeting rooms, the best possible guest-room price, and a location for you that is safe, comfortable, and convenient.

Important Chicago information

We will be convening over the weekend of St. Patrick's Day celebrations in downtown Chicago. Please note that traffic will be difficult, if not unmanageable, on Saturday morning due to the celebrations. If you should choose to venture out for the celebration, please understand that there will be thousands of people celebrating in a variety of ways. That said, be prepared for a greater police presence as a safety precaution. We encourage you to enjoy the dying of the Chicago River and partaking wisely in the various celebratory options.

Hotel Rates

A special hotel rate will be available at the conference hotel for those who reserve rooms through the MSS Annual Meeting room block. MSS standard room rates* are $159/night for single and double occupancy. Triple and quad occupancy rates are $184/night. The room block closes March 12, 2022. 

*Rates do not include applicable taxes. Additional room types may be available at higher rates.

On Arrival

  • You MUST have a major credit card at check-in, to guarantee payment.  
  • Check-in: 3:00 PM CST | Check-out: 12:00 PM CST
  • If interested, notify the desk staff at check-in if you would like to opt out of housekeeping in order to receive a $10 credit to Amuse or room service (for stays of 2 nights or more). This option is offered as a commitment by the Swissotel to provide environmentally sustainable accommodations.

Parking at the hotel

The hotel offers valet parking to all registered guests and guest attending on site events. Current parking fees are:

  • 24-hour valet service: $84/day
  • 24-hour self-park: $65/day
