Welcoming All to MSS

MSS is committed to making our Annual Meeting accessible to all. When you register for the meeting, please provide information about any accessibility needs you may have so we are sure to consider all needs. Every reasonable effort will be made to assist attendees onsite. However, MSS may not be able to provide all services or equipment due to availability.

Remote Presentations

MSS will offer the opportunity for remote presentation, with paid registration, for people who have a disability and people who have a medical condition for which a medical professional would advise against in-person attendance. We are optimistic that all remote presentation requests can be accommodated, but depending on demand and available Wi-Fi bandwidth, remote presenters should be aware that the Wi-Fi could potentially fail to support the presentation. While we understand that the current political environment in the United States has created a situation where remote presentation might be preferred for a variety of reasons, we ask registrants to help us honor our commitment by only requesting remote presentation if necessary for disability or medical reasons. This will help to increase the chances that sufficient bandwidth will be available to those who need it. A request for remote presentation must be made by February 15, 2026. To request remote presentation, please email [email protected].

Program

The meeting program is available through the MSS meeting app, which allows you to create a personal schedule and provides access to Annual Meeting information and highlights. Links to both a PDF version and a large-print version of the program will be available on our website after March 1.

Maps and Signage

Maps of the hotel and meeting space will be available online, noting the areas of registration/badge pick up, elevators/escalators, all-gender restrooms, and other features of importance. Maps will be posted onsite at the meeting. Directional signage will also be used throughout the meeting space.

Session Captioning

All plenary talks will be live captioned. Our plan is to record and post the plenary talks for member access after the meeting.

Accessible Presentation

Presentations and sessions should be designed and conducted with the full participation of all in mind. MSS requests that all presenters review thPresenting at MSS page and take the steps necessary to make all programming accessible to all attendees.

Fragrance-Free Environment

We ask that all participants refrain from wearing perfume, cologne, and other fragrances for the benefit of attendees with chemical sensitivities.

All-Gender Restrooms

We will designate all-gender restrooms at the hotel. These restrooms are available for use by all people, regardless of their gender identity. The facilities will be marked with door signage. Please help make these facilities an inclusive space.

Accessible Seating

Space will be made available in each conference room for those with mobility assistive devices. Please reserve the rows at the front of the room for those who need to be closer to the front, whether for mobility, auditory, sight, sensory, or other needs.
