ThemeMSS Program Chair Michael Haedicke has selected an important theme for reflection for this year's conference: "Care and the Sociological Vocation: Learning About, Through, and With Care." Plenary SpeakersWe are excited to welcome our 2026 plenary speakers, Dr. Valerie Francisco-Menchavez and Dr. Tracie Canada. Learn more about them and information about their talks here.
Special Sessions & EventsSociologist's Craft Series: These workshops feature hands-on tips and practical advice for engaging in activities and navigating challenges that appear in sociological careers. Posters: Students and professionals share their research via the illustration of a research question, methods and outcomes. Posters will be displayed during scheduled time slots and presenters will discuss their research with other meeting attendees. Trivia Night: This annual event is a great way to meet others, have fun, and kick off your conference experience. Tickets are required, so reserve them early! Tours & Experiences: Learn more about the host city by joining us on a tour of local sites and experiences. Each year is a little different, so be sure to check them out! Registration
Early bird registration rates will be available through February 1, 2026. These rates are, on average, a 25% discount to the regular rates. Please register early for the best deals! Non-participating undergraduate student group rates are also available. All persons on the meeting program (presenters, organizers, facilitators, committee members, etc.) must be both MSS members AND register for the conference. Membership and registration can be purchased separately or collectively online. Please be sure your membership is current if you are purchasing a member-rate registration.
